LIFEBOOK AH572 3D Notebook Lifebook AH572 3D. Very good 3D. Better than I expect.
By An [January 18, 2012, 2:21 am]I read many reviews before I bought the Lifebook AH572 3D. Most review sites rates this notebook about 3.5 stars. However, I bought it anyway because it's cheaper than Lenovo 3D notebook with polarized glasses (passive type), and a lot cheaper than other 3D notebook with shutter glasses (active type).
I bought this notebook for watching 3D movies, so I don't care its capability for playing games. I summary the watching 3D issues below.
1. Some reviewers said that the resolution when watching 3D movie on this note book is not good. They may not know that all 3D movies don't have the same quality. I play the IMAX 3D UltimateWave Blu-ray on the AH572, and the 3D quality is very good. The quality of DVD 3D movies are not good as Blu-ray. The quality of old 3D DVD movies are very bad.
2. Make sure that you buy the 3D Field Sequential type movie.
3. Quality of 2D movie converted to 3D. I watched 3D TV (not notebook) playing 2D-converted-3D movie and the quality is bad. Basically the figures in the movie are as thin as paper. Some people called this "cardboard 3D". However, I watched the 2D movie on the AH572, and the 3D quality was good. It's not as good as watching the real 3D movie but it's a lot better than the "cardboard" 3D. Note that the Cyberlink PowerDVD9 automatically do the 2D-3D conversion when you play a 2D movie.
I also bought the AH572 for the below reason
1. Currently, the battery life is much better than other 3D notebooks.
